Dr. Michael Anderson, D.C. - Chiropractor in Naperville, ILBack to "Meet the Doctors" Page

Dr. Michael Anderson was born and raised in a southern suburb of Buffalo, New York. Before graduating from Canisius High School, Dr. Anderson learned to live and practice by the his school's Jesuit principle mission statement, "Men and Women for Others." In high school, he continued his strong passion for athletics. However, neck pain kept him from playing. After finding relief from a local chiropractor, Dr. Anderson found interest in pursuing a career in serving others as a chiropractic physician.

Canisius College in Buffalo, New York is where Dr. Anderson decided to start his pursuit of becoming a chiropractor. He graduated with cum laude honors, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Science - Biology. Soon after graduation, Dr. Anderson began studying to become a chiropractic physician at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. At NUHS, he was introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as another alternative means to diagnose and treat many of the illnesses and physical complaints that community members suffer from. Therefore, Dr. Anderson began studying toward receiving a Master's Degree in Acupuncture.

During his last trimester of chiropractic school, Dr. Anderson took a preceptorship position at Physical Medicine Associates under the supervision of Dr. Giang. This internship opportunity allowed him to learn valuable clinical knowledge that is now used to efficiently and efficaciously diagnose and treat his patients. Upon graduation, he received a doctorate in chiropractic degree with summa cum laude honors. Dr. Anderson joined Physical Medicine Associates where he continues to enjoy treating patients.

With his passion for sports and knowledge of orthopedics, Dr. Anderson fully comprehends the relationships of the anatomical structures, and their functions, that have been damaged due to a sports injury. Under his care, a treatment plan is personally designed to reduce healing time and therefore discharge patients earlier than one would be under conventional care. In addition, all biomechanical abnormalities that hinder performance and allow for injury reoccurrence are further corrected. In the best interest of his patients, Dr. Anderson strongly believes in the necessity of co-management with other healthcare professionals.
