Dr. Samir Hajariwala - Naperville Chiropractor

Dr. Samir Hajariwala - Chiropractor, Naperville, ILBack to "Meet the Doctors" Page

Dr. Samir Hajariwala was born and raised in the small town of Dublin, Georgia.  He chronicles his first work experience at a saw mill during the summer between high school and college where he learned the importance of hard work and the value of an education.  He attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  After graduation, he began working as a microbiologist in the field of food safety in Atlanta, GA.  He soon realized that spending hours in a laboratory in front of a microscope was not what he wanted in life.  He began shadowing chiropractors to gain a better understanding of the profession and what it can do for patients.  He enjoyed the physical nature of the profession and how patients were improving without the use of medications.  He also enjoyed the close doctor-patient interactions that are not typical of most other professions.  After working for one year as a microbiologist, he decided to attend NYCC (New York Chiropractic College) in Seneca Falls, NY.

During his daily clinical training he was able to independently diagnose and treat his patients and received high patient satisfaction scores and excellent evaluations.  At NYCC, in addition to the daily clinical training, Dr. Hajariwala was fortunate enough to complete a clinical rotation at a community hospital in Rochester, NY.  There, he treated patients with various complex conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and dementia.  This experience challenged his technical and problem-solving skills and allowed him to become a better clinician.

During training he was especially able to appreciate the benefits of using biomechanics in Chiropractic.  He uses the principles of biomechanics for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes to isolate and eliminate the root of the problem.  His approach also includes evaluating all the underlying factors that may be contributing to the problem at hand by separating them out to deal with individually and effectively.

After graduating from NYCC in 2007, Dr. Hajariwala developed a successful practice in Rochester, NY.  In September 2009, he and his wife decided to move to the IL area to be close to family and to Chicago.  Dr. Hajariwala joined Physical Medicine Associates in January 2010 and looks forward to treating the surrounding community.

Outside of work, Dr. Hajariwala enjoys traveling to different countries and learning different cultures and histories.  He also enjoys water sports, hiking, camping, playing basketball and racquetball, and watching the Bears play on Sunday.
